On 17 May, we hosted our second charity golf challenge at Royal Mid-Surrey in partnership with St Raphael’s hospice, a local charity in Merton and Sutton offering home-based and inpatient care, wellbeing services and bereavement support.
On an immaculate course, six teams (made of industry leaders across PE, Tech, Finance and HR) went head-to-head in a better ball team stableford competition over 18 holes on the JH Taylor course. The course was in excellent condition, but playing hard as a result of the recent heavy rain, challenging rough and slow but true greens.
So, after four hours of golf, chat and bonhomie, a tightly-fought contest ended with Team Genoa (Ash Patel, Nick Knight, James Millison and Shawn Okufuena) winning the overall team prize with a combined score of 79pts.
