On Thursday 28th September 2023, on the eve of the Ryder Cup, The Siena Partnership hosted its first Private Equity Charity Golf Challenge in partnership with Little Lives UK and Mashie Golf Events.
Guests arrived at the sunny Royal Mid Surrey at 10:45am, checked in and then enjoyed a light lunch before the first tee time at 12:00. Although the atmosphere wasn’t as fierce as of that in Rome, there was certainly some competitive juices flowing as each team teed off.
The competition format was as follows:
- Team – Best Two from Four (85%)
- Individual Score Stableford– (95%)
On course competitions:
- Nearest the Pin – Hole 6
- Nearest the Pin – Hole 11
- Straightest Drive – Hole 18
After an enjoyed 4 hours on the golf course, guests enjoyed an evening prize giving, dinner, presentations and fund raising.
Laurence Rosen, Chairman of Siena Partnership, led the presentation and prize giving before handing over to Roberto Del Maschio who spoke to guests about Little Lives UK, the charity we are partnering with.
Little Lives UK is a children’s charity that supports disabled and disadvantaged children and young people to help them buld stronger futures. Working within communities they identify some of the major problems that children are facing and organise projects that will help try to resolve these issues. They have four key campaigns:
- Children’s Community Support Programme
- Technology Donation Programme
- ‘Someone To Talk To’ Mental Health Project
- Sports Teams Sponsorship
